Zack Alvarez – Tier 1 Engineer

Zack delivers responsive technical support and helps maintain the reliability of IT systems across the organization. Currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, he combines strong technical aptitude with a passion for learning and growth. Since joining AVATAR, he’s shown a proactive, solution-driven approach to every challenge—quickly becoming a trusted resource on the engineering team. Outside of work, Zack enjoys programming and personal development projects that deepen his technical skill set.

Joshua Smith – Tier 1 Engineer

Joshua brings a unique mix of customer service and technical experience to AVATAR. After nearly 15 years in retail and property management, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity Technology and transitioned into IT with a strong foundation in communication and problem-solving. At AVATAR, Joshua supports clients across a range of IT needs—from troubleshooting software like QuickBooks and Outlook to maintaining systems and user accounts. Known for his calm and focused approach, he’s a dependable partner to both clients and colleagues.

Outside the office, Joshua enjoys studying theology, traveling, discovering new foods, and spending time with family and friends.

Brandon Vela – IT Support

Brandon is a dedicated IT professional with experience supporting both internal teams and end users. As a Tier 1 Engineer, he’s often the first point of contact for technical issues—resolving them quickly and documenting every detail to ensure seamless support. Before joining AVATAR, Brandon worked in internal IT for The Woodlands Church, where he developed his hands-on troubleshooting and people skills. He brings that same empathy and precision to every client’s interaction.

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys time with his wife and kids, exploring new places, and diving into science fiction, fantasy, and world history.
